Digital School of Excellence Award.
Oct 15th
Our school was recently assessed by an accreditor from Digital Schools of Excellence and we are delighted to have been successful. Some seven Donegal schools have received this award. This Digital Schools of Distinction programme is an accreditation, which primary schools can attain by demonstrating ‘excellence in their approach to the integration of ICT in learning and teaching. The benefits of receiving this accreditation include access to an ICT support network, a toolkit to develop an ICT plan for every school, links with other schools in Ireland and external recognition through a nationally recognised award’. There will be an in-school presentation over the coming weeks.

SOCCER: Kilmacrennan NS were celebrating ‘double-style’ on Wednesday in Finn Park as they took the honours in both the girls and boys competitions in the large schools section to take the ‘Chairmans Cups’.
In glorious conditions, they faced off against both Illistrin NS in the boys and girls finals. The boys final was a tight affair with only one goal separating the sides at the end, an early Rory McGrenra goal being the difference between both sides.
Final score Kilmacrennan 1-0 Illistrin NS.
The girls final saw the girls once again face Illistrin NS and in another tight game, a hat-trick of goals from Katherine Black sealing the honours.
Final score Kilmacrennan NS 3-1 Illistrin NS.
