Guth Ghoill/ Poetry Event

 

Filíocht Guth Ghoill; na Dúnaibh; 2ú Nollaig ag a deich a chlog.

The Guth Ghoill poetry competition will be held on Saturday, 2nd December in the Resource Centre, Downings (on Main Street, left-hand side, just past the Downings Bay Hotel).

Infants to Second Class start at 10 am in one room, while Third to Sixth will also start at 10 am in another room.

Pantomime Night

The Letterkenny Pantomime Society will host a performance of ‘Snow Queen’ in An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny on Saturday, 13th January 2018.  Proceeds of this event are in aid of school funds.

Road Safety Workshops

Many thanks to Louise from the Road Safety Authority who visited our school in November, providing entertaining and informative workshops for all pupils.

Christmas Music

 

 

A group of Fifth & Sixth Class pupils will perform a selection of tunes and Christmas songs at a Christmas Fair in the AIB Bank car-park, Letterkenny on Saturday, 2nd December.

 

Those participating should arrive by 1.50pm, bringing musical instruments and notes.

Cheerios Breakfast Morning

Thursday Morning 20th September, Miss Ferry and her 6th class held a Cheerios Breakfast Morning in aid of Childline. They raised a total of €510.00 euro in total. A great morning had by all.

School Debating League

The Letterkenny Debating League Round 1 event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct 26th. Lurgybrack N.S. are our opposition on the day. Kilmacrennan will present the argument that ‘Social Media is a bad influence on children’.

School Closure

Kilmacrennan N.S. will be closed on Monday, 6th November for staff training on the New Language Curriculum – this is the Monday immediately following the Mid-Term break.
