Solas

Lovely memories from Solas a Dó during this school year .

The children in Solas picked their favourite colour of wool and Ryan designed the cushion. The class took turns on their movement breaks weaving. They made a beautiful piece which was used to make a cushion for Solas and a cushion for each child to bring home. It was a fantastic opportunity to practice the tradition of weaving while working on fine motor skills and enjoying movement breaks.

The children in Solas a Dó enjoyed working on Noah’s Ark as part of their reversed integration with their peers.

Children in Solas made a beautiful woven wall hanging. During reversed integration, they taught friends how to use the loom and enjoyed learning to sew to finish off their masterpiece.Beautiful beads, feathers and twigs were added. I think you’d all agree that they did a super job! A special thank you to Sharon for lending us her loom and guiding us as we all upskilled!
