Feb 2nd
A copy of note given to the children at school
January 30th,
Dear Parent,
Grandparents Day will be held on Thursday, 1st February. The pupils will attend Mass in the chapel at 10am. All are then invited to the School Hall for tea at 10.30, followed by St Brigid Cross-making with the children until 12.30 approximately. The invitation is for parents and the wider community too, not strictly for grandparents (though family pets might be a step too far!).
The children will be having a bowl of mashed poundies on the day, and can bring a small plastic plate or bowl for feeding purposes!
The Parents-Association are hosting a Family Movie Night in Century Cinemas on Thursday, 22nd February at 6pm. The movie is Coco, and tickets can be purchased from the school at a cost of €5 per ticket.
Parents of Fifth Class pupils are meeting tonight, Tuesday 30th January at 7.30pm in the School Library to arrange teas for the Confirmation.
The Confirmation is scheduled for Sunday, 11th February at 12.30pm. We wish all the Confirmandi well on the day.
The school had a successful night at the Letterkenny Credit Union this week, winning the U-13 Senior Section and were placed third in the U-11 Section. Well done to teams involved.
The school will be closed for Mid-term Break on Thursday, 15th and Friday, 16th February.
Thanking you,
John Devenney.
