There was great interest too in the Design a Book Token Art competition, with prizes awarded in each class.

School Gaelic League Final
Feb 6th
There was great excitement in the school as the finalists in our School Gaelic League, na Cealla Beaga and Naomh Conaill faced each other on Monday, 5th February. Master Devenney got proceedings underway in the school early when he conducted an intercom interview with the opposing captains, Jack and Caolán, Both spoke openly about their fears and hopes for the final in a candid interview!
Both teams then lined up for a heartwarming rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann on the Astro-Pitch. Master O Donnell was shortlisted to referee on the day, with Adrian and Master Gallagher as his understudies on the line.
The game began at a frantic pace. It was a pulsating contest with fine scores from both teams. The crowd were thoroughly entertained and encouraged both teams.
In what was a truly absorbing contest, na Cealla Beaga emerged as victors on a 5-8 to 5-7 scoreline. Well done to both teams.
Many thanks are due to Master Gallagher for organising the league.
St Brigid Crossmaking with Grandparents

We all had a most enjoyable day in the School on St Brigid’s Day. Fr Strain celebrated mass in the chapel at 10 am. Our School Music Group partook in the lovely ceremony.
Following this, all grandparents were invited to the School Hall for a cup of tea. Then we all had great fun making St Brigid’s Crosses.
