The school will provide all the necessary books, readers and workbooks in English, Irish, Maths, Handwriting, SESE, SALF folders etc for a fee of €60.  We will collect this fee when the school opens.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON THE OUTSIDE OF EACH COPYBOOK.

Please purchase the following stationery.

  • 2 Capital No. 15 Project Copies (half blank; half lined)
  • 2 large glue sticks
  • 1 Scissors
  • 2 plastic folder for A4 sheet
  • Pencils (2)
  • Twistables-to be kept at home for colouring
  • 2 B2 capital learn to write (copybook)
  • 2 notebooks
  • 1 set of earphones (labelled)

*For information regarding the Jolly Phonics English programme, please refer to the ‘Parent Section’ on the school website for an overview of the programme.

*Please have your child’s name clearly written on all belongings, flasks, lunchboxes, pencils, rubbers, crayons, uniform jumpers etc as they are easily mislaid.The school will re-open on Wednesday, 25th August 2021.  Junior Infants will finish school at 12 noon from Wednesday, 25th August until Friday, 3rd September.  They will finish daily thereafter at 2pm.

Read the following, draw a picture for some of them.

Maths

Plenty of number formation revision. 1-4

Addition from 1-5, i.e.- 2 and 1 makes_

Shape pictures- 2-d shapes: triangle, square, circle, rectangle. Use these shapes to make pictures, i.e. house, flower, robot, rocket, Easter Chick, pizza, train.

Gaeilge

Éadaí-clothes, Léine-shirt Sciorta-skirt Geansaí-jumper Bróga-shoes Dearg-red, oráíste-orange, gorm-blue, cocra-purple, buí-yellow, glas-geen, donn-brown, dubh-black

Revise words and draw some of the clothes using the colours.

Tarraing léine sa bhosca, tá an léine gorm…. Draw a shirt in the box, the shirt is blue…..
