2nd Class

Week beginning 15/06/20
Well done on keeping the work going for the last few weeks. There is no pressure to do any work this week but feel free to keep reading, finishing workbook, or any other work if you so wish. We won’t be assigning any further written work as it’s’s our final week. We still can’t believe we’re ending this school year this way!

We’ve decided that this week is going to be Virtual Sports Week- a nice way to end the year and we include links to sporting activities that you or your family might like to do. There are many activities in the pack- feel free to choose what you wish to do. Why not add a competitive element by making it a family sports day! Send us on any pictures/videos!

Visit www.healthy-kidz.com and follow the link for Republic of Ireland pupils

I’d like to wish you all the most wonderful summer and hopefully when we return in August things will hopefully have settled a lot more.

Hi everyone

Thank you for all the emails showing me the places you’ve discovered around your home in the past week. It’s been lovely to see you enjoying the outdoors, although the weather wasn’t quite as nice as previously. As we are finished with our workbooks for the most part, this week I am giving you a list of suggested activities for the week. By no means is it intended that you do all of these, just pick whichever you would like to do, and send me a photo if possible. I’ll look forward to seeing which activities you’ve done!!

As in other weeks, try to do some of the work each day, and don’t worry about getting every single item finished. Concentrate on neatness in handwriting and presentation of work as this will stand to you next year.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the little samples of work I’ve been receiving, and some lovely photos of some of you busy outside, working on the bog, on the trampoline etc.

We’ve been very luck with the weather lately.

I sent some of you a Time Capsule activity book via email, if you would like one just let me know your email address, as I don’t have everyone’s.

Remember that the work I have here is a guide, you can do as much of it as is feasible, I know working at home is very different to working at school, and it is difficult sometimes with printing, internet connection etc, so I don’t want anyone getting too concerned about finishing each and every task.

As always, just email me if you need help with anything. The work I’m posting is either in the workbooks you have at home, or on folensonline or cjfallon.ie

It can be confusing trying to figure out where to get what, so I’ve put together a little grid to (hopefully!) make it easier.
