Dear Parent
The end of term is drawing to a close and the school will close for the Summer Holidays on Friday at 12 noon. We thank you for your support during what has proved to be a challenging time for all.
All parents should have received a School Report for their child/ren this week. Please contact the School Office if you haven’t received this.
Booklists are being distributed to classes this week and are also available on the website. We will operate a Book Rental System for pupils in Third to Sixth Class and, due to Covid restrictions, give these books to the children when we return in August.
School Calendar dates are available on the school website.
Class teachers are conducting their own end of year Sports in class bubbles. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, parents are unable to attend these events.
Our Sixth Class students are finishing their primary schooling this week. We thank Fr Dunne for a lovely End of Year Service. Ann O’Donnell prepared a lovely barbeque which we thoroughly enjoyed. We bid a fond farewell to our Sixth Class students and wish them all the best as they embark on a new challenge.
The Confirmation for Sixth Class pupils will be held in the Church of the Irish Martyrs on Thursday, July 8th at 7pm.
Our School Debating Team is competing in the Concern Primary School All Ireland Final on Friday, 18th June at 10am. We wish them all the best.
Yours sincerely,
John Devenney.
