Kilmac’s Got Talent

Congratulations to all the recent participants and finalists in this year’s KILMAC SCHOOL’S GOT TALENT 2019. The annual competition had singing, dancing, instrumental, magic, comedy and even gymnastics. The Senior winner was Kerry with a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Adele’s “When we were young” while the Junior prize was taken by Sarah Kate for her ballet dance to the accompaniment of the “Toy Story”theme song. Many thanks to Spar Supermarket, Millbridge, Coffee Time cafe and Sweeney’s Filling Station, Termon for their generous donation of prizes.

We recently held both our Junior and Senior Sports Day at Kilmacrennan NS. The children had a great time and enjoyed the fun and games.
Coastal Clean-Up

First and Second Class pupils partook in a coastal clean-up at Ards Strand recently. Many thanks to all at McGinley Motors who, in partnership with Volvo Car Ireland and Donegal County Council, organised the beach clean-up, helping to raise awareness and tackling the growing issue of marine plastic pollution.

Dear Parent,
Our School Booklists and School Calendar for the next school year are now available and can also be viewed on our school website at www.kilmacrennanschool.com.
Please note that the school will close this Thursday, 13th June 2019 due to ESB works in the area.
The Parent’s Association will hold their final meeting of the school year on Thursday, 13th June at 8.30pm in the School Library. All are welcome to attend.
We hope to organise Junior to Second Class Sports Day tomorrow, Wednesday, 12th June, weather permitting.
The end of year mass for all pupils is next Tuesday, 18th June at 10am, followed by a Sixth Class barbeque. Classes end for Sixth Class pupils at 1pm.
The school term for all other pupils ends on Friday, 21st June at 12noon.

Gardaí visit to School

Many thanks to our local Gardaí- Garda McConigley and Garda Sweeney – who visited our Junior & Senior Infant Classes recently. There was great excitement as the children tested garda sirens, examined batons and wore garda hats
Green School Flag

Kilmacrennan N.S. raised its fifth Green Flag at a recent in-school ceremony. The Flag was earned by the pupils for their on going work on Biodiversity. The honour of raising the Flag fell to Raymond McBride of the Kilmacrennan Men’s Shed, ably assisted by Gerald and hardworking Green-School Committee, under the watchful eye of Mrs Doherty & Master Gallagher. Clodagh of Sixth Class was Mistress of Ceremonies for the day
