Our in-school cross-country training for pupils from First to Sixth classes has been up-and-running since the start of term. We feel that the children’s fitness levels are improving considerably and we ask that all continue to participate in the programme. We wish to commend all the athletes who represented our school at the Cross-Country district finals in Milford recently. We were quite successful on the day, winning 16 individual medals, 6 team event and the Overall Best School Cup. Twenty-four athletes have qualified for the County Final in Buncrana later this month.
It has been brought to my attention that some parents feel that sufficient vision is not being afforded to children and parents as they seek to use the crossing point on the Main Road outside the school. Therefore, I respectfully request that all rules of the road are observed and that nobody parks on double yellow lines in this area.
Yours sincerely,
John Devenney.
