World Book Day!
The pupils got to read in front of the school, a few lines from their favourite book.
Congratulations to our 5th and 6th class in Kilmacrennan National School who had a very successful day at the recent school’s Indoor GAA competition in the Craoibhin in Termon. Kilmacrennan Green won the Rosebowl final, Kilmacrennan Blue won the Shield final whilst Kilmacrennan Orange won the Plate final. Well done to Christy Toye (Coach and Teacher) and to Manus Friel for organising an excellent competition which was very competitive.

There has been great egg-citement in the school recently as our School Chick project came home to roost; some of the pupils were quite shell-shocked to see three new chick hatchlings born.
Bhí lá galánta sa scoil Dé hAoine agus na páistí páirteach i gCeolchoirm na Scoile do Sheachtain na Gaeilge. Ghlac gach rang páirt agus bhí gach duine gléasta don Lá Glas. Maith sibh.

St Bridget’s Day
A group of Fifth & Sixth Class pupils performed a selection of tunes and Christmas songs at a Christmas Fair in the AIB Bank car-park, Letterkenny on Saturday, 2nd December.
The school Music Group, under the tutelage of Mrs Gallagher, are practicing weekly. Among the instruments we are playing are accordions, tin whistles, fiddles, bodhráns and concertinas. We have organised a six week Music Assembly programme, whereby all classes from first to sixth pupils meet for a twenty minute group practice.
