Third Class Booklist 2021-22.

BOOKS PROVIDED BY RENTAL SCHEME

School Book Rental system is in place for pupils from Third to Sixth classes at a cost of €35 per pupil, subject to a family maximum contribution of €60. This can paid during the last week of this term or alternatively the first week of returning after the holidays.

For this, the school provides,

  • Mathematics: Planet Maths 3
  • English : Starlight 3; My Read At Home 3
  • Gaeilge: Abair Liom E; Irish readers, Réaltaí agus Spréacha, Ag Súgradh, Léigh Sa Bhaile 3
  • SESE : Let’s Discover History, Let’s Discover Geography , Let’s Discover Science Journals for 3rd (Fallons)

The rental fee can be paid in late June, or the first week of the new term. Alternatively, you may purchase the above books at your own expense.

It will be necessary for all (whether in the School Book Rental Scheme, or not) to purchase the following workbooks:

  • Each pupil should also have an English dictionary (Collins) and an atlas (Philips Irish Primary Atlas, Folens)

The school will re-open for pupils on Wednesday, 25th August 2021.

School diaries will be available on opening week.

It is school policy to have pupil names on copies in Irish.

    • Easter 2023
      We will close on Friday 31st March 2023, which will be the final day of
      the school term (unless changes are required as part of contingency
      arrangements to make up for time lost due to unforeseen school closures. Where
      contingency arrangements are required a school authority may reduce the length
      of the Easter break by remaining open up to and including Wednesday 5th April
      2023).
      We will re-open on Monday 17th April 2023.
    • May Bank Holiday
      The school will be closed on Monday & Tuesday (1 & 2nd May 2023).

      The school will close for pupils on Monday 5 June 2023.
    • Summer Closure
      The school will close for the Summer Holidays on Fri 23 June (12 noon)
